Michele Levy and Andy Ingram

Michele

I met gill at Leeds uni, we weren’t immediately friends. Really only becoming true friends once Gill was installed in London when she started her first job at Stoy Haywards.  Andy and I became firm friends with her and Andy, with our friendship growing stronger as the years passed, both our families living in Mill Hill.

My first impression of Gill is the one that still endures today - a woman who had limitless amounts of capacity to nurture friendships and care about everyone, who only saw the good in people and treasured her family. Gill was part of so many different communities - friendship groups, book clubs, MMK parents and mill hill shul. Her legacy is huge.

I miss Gill so much, she was a constant and rock in my life. I miss waving at Gill early mornings on the Broadway on the  days we both worked at home each of us doing our own short walk, Fridays when we swapped challah for Guardian food supplements and for our ‘curry girls’ dinner outs. I miss our chats about our respective worries about our families and work and I miss seeing her on the screen on the Sunday Zoom Pilates.

Andy

Like Michele I have so many fond memories of Gill and always looked forward to our chats on Friday either when she was popping round or I was entrusted with the delivery. I also continued to play scrabble with her as  I used to with Andy and we shared a love of the game through Lockdown and playing the online version. Of course there were so many other conversations and outings we had with her and Andy which we will always treasure.
